Verdant Decay

This piece represents the duality of birth and death in a botanical form . Inspired by the hosta plants that grow in my garden and the duality of the plants' parallel growth and decay. I admire the leaf's form at every stage from fresh green shoots to the inevitable ochre & brown decay.
