Wall hanging sculptural paper work

This piece is inspired by the journey, weight and substance of water in the ocean. In the centre of the head piece the water is light and transluscent against the shoreline. The piece is cut and layered, piece upon piece. The colours on the paper get darker - mirroring the water losing light from the surface as it goes deeper and deeper and trailing off.

Created using Echo Shiro paper 300gsm, sea water, blue and ochre pigments and indian ink.
